The Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) course is a 1‑day accredited training programme that teaches learners how to respond confidently to the most common workplace emergencies. It is designed to help employers meet their Health and Safety Executive (HSE) requirements by ensuring staff can provide immediate, effective first aid until professional help arrives.
The course covers essential skills such as CPR, using an AED, managing choking, treating bleeding and shock, and dealing with a range of minor injuries. On successful completion, learners receive an EFAW certificate valid for three years, recognised across the UK and suitable for low‑risk workplaces such as offices, retail, hospitality, and small businesses.
